Position overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor works in the Housekeeping and Laundry department at Le Méridien in Makkah.

The position is full time and is classified as non-management in the source posting.

Core responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
  • Run sold-room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update departing-room status.
  • Coordinate housekeeping with Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry, and resolve room issues with the Front Desk.
  • Prepare and communicate room-assignment changes, report issues to the next shift, and complete paperwork.
  • Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.

Safety and physical requirements

  • Follow company safety and security policies, report maintenance issues and incidents, and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • The role requires lifting up to 25 kilograms without assistance, pushing loaded carts, and working on sloping or uneven surfaces.
  • The role requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and manual handling during a full shift.
  • Use computers or point-of-sale systems and visually verify information in different formats.

Recommended qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
  • At least one year of related work experience is listed as preferred.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience is listed as preferred.
  • No license or certification is specified.
