Position Summary
The Engineering Supervisor maintains hotel tools, appliances, equipment, and facility systems.
The position responds to guest repair requests and supports employee supervision, safety, and operational efficiency.
Engineering and Facilities Duties
- Install, maintain, inspect, and recommend replacement of tools, appliances, and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibrate controls, gauges, and meters.
- Identify and operate shut-off valves, order and stock supplies, and maintain inventory and purchase-order logs.
- Operate power lifts and enter work-related information using computers.
- Complete life-safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
- Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems and assist with disaster response protocols.
- Respond to guest repair requests.
Supervision and Service Duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Support quality, efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost-saving improvements.
