This position reports directly to the Manager, Customizing and is accountable for departmental performance, employee development, process compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Group Leader must be capable of making independent operational decisions, solving problems effectively, and managing priorities with minimal supervision while maintaining alignment with company goals.
What You'll Do
Lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees in accordance with Belimo's leadership principles and management guidelines.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
Establish performance goals and operational targets aligned with departmental and company objectives.
Promote employee engagement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Provide leadership and direction during third-shift operations, ensuring employees have the support and resources necessary to meet production goals.
Make independent operational decisions to address production, staffing, quality, and material-related challenges.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities to meet customer requirements while maintaining quality, safety, and cost objectives.
Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when targets are not achieved.
Coordinate assembly operations to ensure efficient production of subassemblies and finished products.
Ensure proper inspection, labeling, packaging, and shipment preparation of products.
Trigger production and rework orders based on material availability and production priorities.
Establish detailed capacity plans and workforce schedules to support production demands.
Coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, Logistics, and other departments regarding customer orders and schedule changes.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and compliance with inventory policies.
Support material flow and inventory management activities to ensure uninterrupted production.
Process production transactions, including posting and backflushing of sales and production orders in SAP.
Maintain accurate production, inventory, training, and quality records.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, documentation requirements, and operational standards.
Identify production issues, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and employee engagement.
Maintain and improve training programs, work instructions, procedures, and standard operating practices.
Ensure that machinery, equipment, workstations, and department assets are properly maintained.
Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Support and participate in safety initiatives, audits, and compliance activities.
Analyze production challenges and implement timely solutions to minimize disruptions.
Effectively balance safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Prioritize competing demands and adapt to changing business needs.
Escalate critical issues appropriately while exercising sound judgment and accountability.
Lead shift operations with minimal direct supervision while maintaining alignment with company objectives.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or production experience.
Minimum of 3 years of leadership, supervisory, or Group Leader experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $75,000 - $80,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Belimo is a total compensation company which includes a comprehensive benefits package including a full range of medical, financial, and other competitive benefits.
