An exciting and challenging opportunity exists within the Disability Programs, Service Delivery - Clinical Services Unit for a highly motivated Supervisor, Crisis Support.
In this rewarding position, you will be responsible for development and delivery of crisis supports in residential and outreach capacities, as well as the development and delivery of educational and preventative workshops and trainings in both a leadership and consultative role to internal and external personnel.
As the Supervisor, Crisis Support Center/North, you will provide clinical expertise, both in a consultative and supervisory leadership role.
The clinical services include behavioural and/or psychological assessments and the development and implementation of crisis intervention strategies in response to specific client needs.
You will provide consultative services to staff, departments and community organizations to develop proactive, crisis support and therapeutic services for individuals with challenging/harmful behaviours.
This position is headquartered in Saskatoon.
You will be responsible for the direct supervision of Crisis Support Therapists and Outreach Workers.
You will fulfill a leadership role on crisis support issues within Disability Programs and anticipate the service needs of clients, agencies and other stakeholders.
Please note: This position may be exposed to the risk of violent situations.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through completion of a Master's degree in psychology, educational psychology or clinical social work supplemented with several years of supervised clinical practice.
Candidates with a four-year bachelor's degree and extensive experience, including several years of clinically supervised practice, may also be considered.
Travel may be required.
