Job description
Airbus is seeking a Summer Intern - Airworthiness & Certification Engineering to join its Engineering Teams in Mobile, Alabama.
The Airworthiness and Certification department operates under Airbus Design Organisation Approval procedures and EASA regulations to support aircraft safety and compliance.
Role scope
- Support certification of design solutions for aircraft upgrades, associated Service Bulletins, initial delivery declarations, in-service repair approvals, and DOA monitoring.
- Gain practical exposure to aircraft certification through shadowing, training, and ownership of projects supporting department efficiency and performance.
- Manage and improve internal communication platforms and update certification data tracking tools.
Challenges and projects
- Design, build, and maintain performance and financial dashboards for departmental metrics.
- Participate in engineering improvement projects involving automation, digitalization, API/web application development, and data analytics as appropriate.
- Generate engineering reports, templates, worksheets, presentations, and weekly status reports.
- Organize engineering data, route documents for review, record meeting minutes, and consolidate data for future reference.
- Support Service Bulletin review, engineering support, and project management.
