Summer Field Representative - Summer Student

• Grain Millers - Yorkton, Saskatchewan
• Contract Length : Traditionally runs May 1st, 2027, to August 30th, 2027, with flexibility to accommodate academic calendars.
• The Summer Field Representative conducts crop tours which will include scouting, monitoring, assessing, and providing reports daily and weekly to the Procurement and Crop Sciences teams. The Summer Field Representative may also be exposed to some aspects of grain buying from purchase to delivery. The role will work to build strong working relationships with producers, customers, and external partners through crop tours, industry field days, and other networking opportunities. This position requires the individual to be a team player who provides field information and insight to the Procurement Manager, Procurement Merchant, US (United States) Procurement Group, Director of Crop Sciences, co-workers, and senior management
• ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Crop Scouting:
• Oat crop scouting, monitoring, assessing, and reporting to the Procurement Manager on a weekly basis.
• Will travel to other provinces, as well as the US, to provide support to the Procurement and Crop Sciences teams for crop scouting or miscellaneous business needs.
• Utilizes statistics along with personal observations to assess crop conditions and accurately report current conditions along with projected potentials.
