Programme Context

  • AVEVA delivers Predictive Analytics, Asset Performance Management, and Process Optimisation solutions across Oil & Gas, Energy, and Industrial operators throughout the Middle East region.
  • These digital solutions monitor critical equipment and operational processes in real time, generating predictive alerts and operational advisories designed to prevent unplanned downtime, extend asset life, improve reliability, and optimize operational performance.
  • This SME role exists to ensure predictive model outputs are technically interpreted, validated, operationalized, and sustained — converting AI generated insights into measurable operational, reliability, and financial benefits across customer facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end to end deployment and operationalization of AVEVA predictive analytics and asset performance solutions across customer facilities in the Middle East region.
  • Provide reliability engineering subject matter expertise during asset onboarding, solution configuration, and model development phases.
  • Work closely with analytics, data science, product, and delivery teams to ensure predictive models accurately reflect asset criticality, failure modes, reliability risk profiles, maintenance strategies, and operational workflows.
  • Support asset criticality assessments, use case definition, and prioritization of high value reliability monitoring opportunities across rotating, static, electrical, process, and integrity critical assets.
  • Participate in model validation, alert tuning, calibration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities prior to go live.
  • Validate predictive model outputs against historical reliability trends, maintenance history, failure records, and operational performance data.
  • Support development of reliability governance frameworks, KPI structures, and value realization methodologies for deployed solutions.
  • Provide engineering input to support expansion of predictive monitoring and reliability optimization coverage across additional assets, systems, and facilities.
  • Lead the reliability governance and value realization framework for deployed predictive analytics and asset performance solutions.
  • Own and maintain programme benefits realization tracking across all engineering disciplines and customer facilities.
  • Consolidate and report realized operational value including downtime avoided, maintenance cost savings, production uplift, energy efficiency improvements, reduced equipment failures, and improved equipment availability.
  • Lead bad actor analysis informed by predictive model outputs and coordinate cross functional investigations to address recurring failure patterns.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of reliability engineering experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, power generation, or heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong experience applying RAM analysis, FMEA, RCA, Weibull analysis, and reliability centered maintenance methodologies.
  • Cross discipline asset management experience spanning mechanical, electrical, process, and integrity critical systems.
  • Experience owning programme KPI governance, reliability reporting, and value realization tracking for operational facilities.
  • Experience working with predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, or AI driven asset performance platforms.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability workflows within industrial operating environments.
  • Experience interpreting operational and maintenance data from SCADA, PI Historian / OSIsoft, CMMS, or equivalent industrial systems.
  • Familiarity with predictive analytics platforms, industrial AI systems, or digital reliability solutions preferred.
  • Middle East or GCC operating environment experience preferred.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) preferred
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) advantageous
  • Reliability centered maintenance or asset management certifications preferred
