Student Assistant (Chemistry)

The Chemistry Department is seeking student assistants to support the preparation and operation of undergraduate teaching laboratories. Student assistants ensure labs are properly set up, maintained during class sessions, and cleaned up afterward. This role helps instructors maintain a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

Prepare teaching labs by setting up equipment, materials, and supplies before each scheduled class. Assist with takedown and cleanup after labs conclude. Support ongoing labs by preparing materials for upcoming sections. Remain available during lab sessions to ensure instructors have all required supplies and equipment. Help monitor student activity in the lab to promote safe practices and prevent accidents. Maintain work areas, equipment, and storage spaces in an orderly condition.
