Day in the Life
The Structures Superintendent provides field leadership for structural construction activities.
The role ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to contract specifications and quality requirements.
The superintendent works with project managers, general superintendents, QA/QC teams, subcontractors, and field crews.
Construction Operations
- Develop short-term, long-term, and three-week look-ahead construction schedules.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, vendors, subcontractors, and structural activities.
- Plan and oversee bridges, foundations, staging, steel erection, temporary works, and access systems.
- Supervise site productivity, quality, environmental compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage equipment utilization, inspections, regulatory documentation, and maintenance schedules.
