What You’ll Be Doing

• Review work for compliance with applicable codes, standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Monitor productivity and technical proficiency, assign staff, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Define discipline organization, scope, design criteria, schedules, standards, and procedures.
• Determine budgets and staffing requirements for defined scopes and schedules.
• Supervise project drawings and design calculations.
• Coordinate design work with project staff and engineers from other disciplines.
• Advise project leadership on problem areas, staffing, delays, scope changes, and profitability impacts.
• Review change order requests and ensure adequate discipline checking.
• Recommend design methods, software tools, and equipment for discipline standards.
• Maintain professional affiliations and recommend technical papers.
