WSP USA offers internships that provide hands-on experience, exposure to real projects, and collaboration with senior staff.
The Transportation Bridge Team is seeking a full-time Structural Engineering Intern for its Chicago office.
The position is a 12-week internship scheduled to start May 17, 2027, with a potentially flexible start date.
Your Impact
- Support engineering tasks while developing technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of structural and bridge engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, preliminary design calculations, and analysis.
- Support final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Follow WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled in an accredited Civil or Structural Engineering undergraduate degree program, or a related program, with graduation in December 2027, May 2028, or later.
- Demonstrate interest in bridge engineering or a related field.
