Structural Engineer (Power)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate engineering work independently.
• Evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Perform engineering work involving complex features and apply engineering principles in specialty and related areas.
• Coordinate project studies, report preparation, design assignments, and design teams.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers, vendors, project managers, and other engineering disciplines.
• Work with modelers, designers, and detailers in Mumbai and various U.S. offices.
• Perform calculations and designs using computer-aided and manual design techniques.
• Design equipment foundations and structural steel for pipe racks and other power plant structures.
• Interpret complex engineering problems and develop appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2–9 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with RISA-3D, RISA Foundation, RAM Connection, STAAD.Pro, Navisworks, and/or Smart Plant Review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered.
• Previous consulting engineering experience in the power industry is preferred.

Workplace and Schedule

• The primary location is the Mumbai office in Maharashtra, India.
• The schedule is full-time and the posting states that travel is not required.
