Role Overview
Sener is delivering complex Rail and Metro projects in the UAE.
The Structural Design Manager will lead the structural design discipline across major railway infrastructure projects and the complete design lifecycle.
The role combines team management, client-facing leadership, and hands-on technical expertise in complex railway structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Structural Design team, including resources, workload, technical development, and performance.
- Plan and manage design deliverables across concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC stages.
- Lead structural designs for stations, depots, maintenance facilities, and other major railway structures.
- Provide technical direction and review or approve calculations, analyses, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead design reviews, technical workshops, constructability reviews, value engineering, and structural coordination.
- Monitor progress, quality, resources, and technical risks, and resolve complex design issues.
- Mentor engineers and support improvements to methodologies, standards, processes, and quality procedures.
