Cost Modelling
Develop, maintain, and enhance detailed costing models for strategic and operational projects, including warehousing, distribution, transportation, customized logistics solutions, and one-off projects.
Analyze direct and indirect operational costs to ensure pricing accuracy and commercial viability.
Pricing Strategy
Establish pricing structures that maintain competitiveness while achieving targeted profit margins.
Monitor and maintain market pricing benchmarks across logistics and supply chain services.
Support the preparation of commercial proposals and pricing submissions for new business opportunities.
Financial Analysis & Profitability
Conduct profitability analysis by evaluating operational costs against selling rates.
Identify financial risks associated with projects and recommend mitigation strategies.
Maintain records of commercial lessons learned and historical project performance to support future pricing and negotiation strategies.
Client Agreements
Review, draft, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and commercial contracts.
Partner & Vendor Contracts
Manage contractual relationships with local and international project partners, suppliers, and vendors.
Support the commercial evaluation and negotiation of strategic partnership agreements.
Tender & Rfp Management
Lead the commercial and contractual review of tenders, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and bid documentation.
Identify contractual “red flag” clauses and assess associated commercial obligations and risks.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with tender requirements and submission timelines.
Contract Lifecycle Management
Utilize contract lifecycle management systems and digital tools such as DocuSign for contract tracking, clause management, version control, and redlining processes.
Monitor contract renewals, expirations, obligations, and amendment requirements.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, legal requirements, and commercial policies.
Support commercial dispute resolution and claims management with clients, vendors, and project partners.
Assess and mitigate contractual and operational risks associated with strategic projects.
Maintain familiarity with e-sourcing and tendering platforms such as SAP Ariba and similar procurement systems.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial management, contract management, procurement, legal coordination, or related fields within the logistics, supply chain, transportation, or shipping industry.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modelling, ROI analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
Strong understanding of contract structures, commercial terms, and legal terminology.
Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools and e-sourcing platforms.
Core Competencies
Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to interpret legal language and translate contractual obligations into operational requirements.
Strong risk assessment and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Law, or related field.
Professional certifications in Contract Management, Procurement, Commercial Management, or Supply Chain are considered an advantage.
