Job Summary
- The Storekeeper – Maintenance is responsible for efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, issuance, and documentation of maintenance materials, spare parts, tools, consumables, and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming maintenance materials, spare parts, tools, equipment, and consumables against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure all received items are free from damage and meet company specifications.
- Arrange and store materials systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's ERP, CMMS, or inventory management system.
- Issue materials, spare parts, and tools to maintenance personnel based on approved material requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual stock counts and inventory audits.
- Ensure proper storage of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, civil, and general maintenance materials.
- Monitor shelf life and expiry dates of applicable consumables.
- Maintain accurate records of goods received, issued, transferred, and returned.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Vouchers (MIV), stock transfer documents, and inventory reports.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Department regarding material shortages, pending deliveries, and urgent purchase requirements.
