Store Technology Engineer

Position Purpose

Vendor and Organizational Activities

• Manage vendor hardware expenses, negotiations, stock, shortages, business continuity, and relationship coordination with EME and LVMH teams.
• Follow IT policies, processes, and standard operating procedures aligned with Sephora and LVMH rules.
• Create dashboards and metrics, measure partner service quality, follow SLAs and SLOs, and apply penalties when needed.

End-User and Store Support

• Install and configure computers, cables, printers, access rights, mail settings, operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Resolve escalated service desk incidents using Ivanti/WSO, monitor and upgrade workstations, instruct users, and provide first-level application support.
• Support POS terminals, payment devices, receipt printers, cash drawers, scanners, handheld devices, network equipment, digital tools, and store applications.

Store Projects and Infrastructure

• Troubleshoot connectivity, POS availability, wireless coverage, VLANs, network configuration, server incidents, GPO issues, and business-critical outages.
• Support store openings, closures, relocations, and renovations through infrastructure planning, installation coordination, testing, and operational handover.
• Validate network cabinets, access point placement, cabling, POS lane readiness, peripheral connectivity, and technology standards on site.

Asset and Systems Administration

• Maintain computer equipment, peripherals, backups, operating systems, networking software, and control records.
• Monitor system performance, configure and test hardware, recommend upgrades, troubleshoot problems, and protect local infrastructure data, software, and hardware.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven IT support or store technology operations experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, or a multi-site environment.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations, POS environments, store networks, infrastructure dependencies, business continuity, ITIL, and endpoint environments.
• Seven or more years of experience, including at least three years in a retail company.
• English communication is mandatory; Arabic and French are a plus.
• Strong Middle East procurement and purchasing knowledge is required, with export and import logistics experience as an advantage.
• The role requires a self-starting, hands-on, service-oriented, problem-solving approach.

Technical Skills

• LAN/WAN connectivity, switching, wireless networks, access points, structured cabling, Microsoft 365, Microsoft and Apple devices, and basic security controls.
• POS hardware, payment terminals, retail peripherals, network racks, switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, GPOs, and store applications.
• IT asset administration, vendor coordination, service quality measurement, incident resolution, and business continuity support.
