We are looking for a Staff System Engineer who will work hand in hand with all the engineering teams and field applications team to improve our LiDAR systems.
How will you make an impact?
Become an expert on our LiDAR products, optimizing their performance for diverse and specific use cases.
Design and execute experiments, as well as collect data to validate the performance and capabilities of LiDAR products under various environmental conditions.
Conduct product demonstrations and lead training workshops to effectively communicate the advantages of our LiDAR technology to customers.
Collaborate with internal engineering teams to drive continuous performance improvements, address technical inquiries, and resolve issues efficiently.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for both internal teams and customers to facilitate understanding and usage of our LiDAR systems.
Provide timely customer support and troubleshoot LiDAR integration issues encountered in the field.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to help shape product development, feature enhancements, and strategic decisions.
What qualifications and skills will make you succeed in this role?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, with at least 8 years of experience working with LiDAR or other sensors; OR Master’s degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR PhD degree with at least 3 years of experience.
Broad knowledge, skills, and experience across multiple domains , including but not limited to hardware, software, simulation, and programming to solve complex problems in a sophisticated LiDAR system.
Proficiency in LightTools , Zemax or Code V. Experience of COMSOL Multiphysics or Ansys Lumerical is welcome.
Ability of handling complex coupled simulation.
Strong background in algorithms and simulation s with MATLAB or Python . Experience of data processing, signal processing and imaging processing is preferred.
Good understanding of statistics and mathematics.
Hands-on experience in building optical systems , including but not limited to LiDAR.
Comfortable working on multiple fast-paced projects with cross-functional teams .
Fast learner and e xcellent communication skills .
