Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program.
- Or Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering a plus.
- Minimum 3 years structural engineering experience in the design of highway structures for IDOT, Illinois Tollway preferred. Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) design experience a plus.
- Illinois Professional Engineering (PE) or Structural Engineering License (SE)preferred or ability to obtain.
- Must have a good understanding of structural design principles, or an aptitude to develop.
- Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present information.
- Must have good attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software including MicroStation and Open Bridge Modeler.
- Experience with design software including MDX, LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare, Midas Civil , or other comparable technical design and modeling software.
- Must be proficient in the use of basic computer software (e,g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Limited Travel to Support KC and other Regional Offices 10%.
Compensation
- $105,000.00-155,000.00 Yearly
- The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
