To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems through professional work, internships, academic projects, research, open-source contributions, or personal initiatives.
  • Strong foundation in technology concepts such as operating systems, networking, software development, cloud computing, automation, or systems engineering.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, architectures, and problem domains quickly and apply that knowledge effectively.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about how systems work, how they can fail, and how they can be improved or secured.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate ambiguous problems and identify root causes.
  • Experience developing, automating, integrating, or improving technical processes, systems, or workflows.
  • Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions rather than simply executing predefined tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of taking ownership, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving results with limited direction.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as secure design, threat analysis, vulnerability management, security monitoring, incident response, risk assessment, or threat modeling.
  • Experience developing security automation solutions (using Python, APIs, etc.) to improve operational efficiency and security outcomes.
  • Experience with threat detection, incident response, digital forensics, and the development of automated detection and response workflows within a security operations environment.
  • Participation in technical communities, research projects, hackathons, capture-the-flag competitions, open-source projects, or other innovation-focused initiatives.
  • Security Industry Certifications
