Staff Software Engineer, Validation Foundations and Acceleration

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Validation Foundations and Acceleration team within the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) organization, you will play a key role in leading and developing complex behavior validation products such as the Behavior Validation Scorecard.

This role combines strong product-facing responsibilities with technical expertise to ensure that validation tools meet the needs of engineering, safety, and product stakeholders.

You will build strong relationships with partner teams—including Embodied AI (EAI), safety, and product management—to align priorities and deliver impactful improvements.

You will leverage data-driven approaches, such as Pareto analysis, to prioritize enhancements and implement solutions.

Additionally, you will contribute hands-on technical work, including implementing solutions that connect the data pipeline to the UI seamlessly.

Build and maintain strong relationships with partner teams (EAI, safety, product) to align priorities and requirements.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps and success metrics for behavior validation tools.

Lead and implement technical improvements using Python and related technologies to accelerate feature development.

Ensure that validation products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with AV launch and release decision processes.
