The role leads the Integrations team in designing, developing, and scaling healthcare integration systems for prior authorization workflows.
The position combines technical leadership with architecture, distributed systems, operational support, and healthcare interoperability.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Build secure, scalable integrations with internal systems, external platforms, partners, and third-party applications.
- Drive cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, event-driven architecture, monitoring, incident response, and production support.
- Champion automated testing, agile delivery, security compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring, coaching, and career development.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Support the manager with information security activity implementation and maintenance.
- Help ensure team competence in information security.
- Implement security policies and procedures and report issues to the Information Security Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 11 years of experience with scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems.
- Hands-on Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, REST API, secure integration, data modeling, messaging, AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD, and observability experience.
- Working knowledge of HL7 FHIR, X12 EDI, HL7 v2, and clinical ontologies including SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and drive technical decisions across teams.
Technical Stack
- Core technologies include Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, AWS SNS, AWS, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD tooling.
- The role uses event-driven and distributed architectures, authentication and authorization frameworks, relational and non-relational databases, and production observability tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare technology, health plan operations, or prior authorization experience is preferred.
- Deep production experience with FHIR resources, X12 transaction sets, HL7 messaging, and clinical terminologies is preferred.
- Cloud architecture certifications and demonstrated success leading distributed engineering teams are preferred.
Location Note
- Hyderabad, Telangana commute or relocation before starting is preferred according to the posting.
