Staff I Software Engineer - C#/.NET

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, optimize, scale, maintain, and improve software applications.
• Develop functional and technical specifications, requirements, and test plans.
• Review code, establish coding standards, solve complex architectural problems, and maintain software quality.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver secure, performant, maintainable, and customer-focused product features.
• Perform maintenance, deployment, release support, and occasional off-hours support.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• More than 9 years of experience with C# and .NET.
• Fluency in MSSQL, SQL, data modeling, transactional flows, JavaScript, and ReactJS or Angular.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, ASP.NET Core, asynchronous programming, multithreading, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Experience with API gateways, identity management, authentication, authorization, event-driven architecture, Kafka, and ORM frameworks.
• Strong computer science foundation, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, system-level performance analysis, and communication skills.
• Experience in Agile development, automation, unit testing, and process improvement.

Technical skills

• Required technical knowledge includes C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, ReactJS or Angular, REST APIs, ASP.NET Core, distributed systems, API gateways, Kafka, and ORM frameworks.
• Power BI experience is a strong plus for data visualization and reporting.

Workplace

• Candidates within reasonable commuting distance of a BlackLine office are expected to work in the office at least three days per week as part of a hybrid work model.
