- 8+ years of backend engineering experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial services

- Experience with event driven architectures using Kafka, CQRS, or event sourcing
- Hands on experience integrating AI/LLMs, including RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar
- Knowledge of document processing, OCR, and intelligent automation pipelines
- Exposure to SME banking, lending, KYB, accounting integrations, or regulated financial environments is a plus

Role Overview
- Axiom Recruit is looking for a Staff Engineer to join a leading digital bank building the next generation of financial technology.
- This is more than a typical backend engineering role. It's an opportunity to build AI automation systems that eliminate the need of any manual work for a super bank.
The Role
- As the technical owner of the SME banking platform, you'll lead the design and development of backend systems that power every stage of automation of the business banking journey.
- Architect scalable backend services for business banking and payment platforms.
- Build AI powered automation for compliance, risk assessment, and operational workflows.
- Design high performance APIs and event driven systems for real time processing.
- Develop intelligent financial infrastructure for lending, fraud detection, and analytics.
- Provide technical leadership by driving architecture, engineering excellence, and automation first practices.
You'll ideally bring
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience in fintech, digital banking, or financial services.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, scalable microservices, and API design.
- Experience with event driven architectures using Kafka, CQRS, or event sourcing.
- Hands on experience integrating AI/LLMs, including RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
