Role Overview
RBC's Cloud Security team is undertaking initiatives related to the expansion to Brewin Dolphin and improvements to public cloud security across tenants.
The Staff Cloud Security Engineer will develop solutions that improve cloud security posture, developer experience, and adoption of strong security practices.
Responsibilities
- Establish core cloud security solutions across Brewin Dolphin cloud environments.
- Design and build cloud security services using automation, test-driven development, and infrastructure as code.
- Implement SRE practices to improve operational processes and reliability.
- Support cloud security applications, configurations, and integrations.
- Serve as the cloud security subject matter expert for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS implementations.
- Assess cloud patterns against security best practices and controls.
- Develop security coverage reports to identify gaps and improve cloud security strategy.
- Lead and participate in end-to-end integrated solution delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support of critical systems.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience developing and implementing security architectures or engineering solutions across cloud or security domains.
