Role Overview

Manage and grow high-revenue group and catering opportunities for the hotel.

Drive individual and hotel revenue goals while ensuring timely business execution and service delivery.

Represent the company by delivering exceptional client and guest experiences.

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED plus two years of relevant sales, marketing, guest service, front desk, or related experience is accepted.
  • Alternatively, a two-year degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field is accepted with no experience required.

Revenue Growth and Market Opportunities

  • Prospect for group and catering clients, markets, and segments.
  • Manage business opportunities with group and catering partners and handle opportunities outside the Events Booking Center when applicable.
  • Identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve individual and hotel revenue goals.
  • Develop sales plans and creative dining events, and upsell packages and catering to maximize revenue.
  • Assess competitors, economic trends, supply, demand, and hotel needs to identify the best opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and close business using creative selling and negotiation skills.

Client Service and Relationships

  • Manage complex business with significant revenue potential and high client expectations.
  • Build relationships with existing and new clients through sales visits, entertainment, familiarization trips, and trade shows.
  • Develop community relationships to strengthen the group and catering client base.
  • Deliver exceptional service before and during client programs and events to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Understand client needs and recommend features and services that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Coordinate with external sales channels and manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Additional Responsibilities

Use sales resources and administrative or support personnel effectively.

Use the intranet to access resources and information.

Conduct site inspections and execute contracts as needed.

Support booking operations by generating proposals, writing contracts, and preparing client correspondence.
