About the Role
Qatar Energy is looking for a Senior Welding & Fabrication Technician to supervise fabrication, pipe fitting, and welding activities. Requires up to 7 years of experience in welding structural steel and high-pressure pipe fabrication, with relevant certifications.

Responsibilities
- Detail out and supervise all fabrication, pipe fitting and welding activities in his area as detailed by his supervisor
- Undertake all necessary preparation, pre fabrication, hot/cold cutting, fabrication and all types of welding jobs such as arc, gas and argon etc.
- Maintain good discipline and ensure strict attention to standards, codes and safety practices
- Ensure availability of Welding & fabrication support and provide back up for all emergency fabrication & welding repairs
- Ensure all work activities are carried out as per the implemented QMS procedures
Requirements
- Up to 7 years’ experience of welding structural steel and high pressure pipe fabrication, including weld repairs associated with specialized materials such as cast aluminum
- Some experience of Middle supervision
- Complete Secondary Technical Education with further Operational/Technical Training to City & Guild standards
- Holding weld certificates in welding procedure on Gas, Arc MIG and TIG welding to ASME 9 and BS 4871 standards
- Able to interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Sound knowledge of English
