Role Overview
vConstruct is seeking an experienced Senior Modeler with structural steel detailing expertise and advanced knowledge of Tekla Structures and AISC standards.
The role independently delivers complex modelling and detailing work while providing technical guidance and support to other modelling resources.
The role covers technical delivery, design interpretation, constructability, coordination, quality ownership, and team mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project initiation, project setup, estimates, model readiness, and project kickoff.
- Review client detailing manuals, project standards, details, and specifications for effective 3D modelling and detailing.
- Interpret structural drawings, specifications, addenda, reference models, RFIs, and other design information.
- Coordinate modelling tasks, internal schedules, planned hours, and milestone requirements.
- Model primary and secondary structural steel, complex connections, embeds, stairs, handrails, ladders, and other miscellaneous items.
- Review design documents for discrepancies, conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues, and raise RFIs.
- Coordinate with project leads, managers, checkers, engineers, BIM/VDC teams, and stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to junior and intermediate modelling resources.
