Sr. Test Engineer

Role Overview

Accountabilities

• Perform integration, regression, and functional testing against business, technical, and system requirements.
• Create, review, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases for new and modified systems.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into testing scenarios and quality criteria.
• Manage defects through resolution and complete validation and follow-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and Scrum teams.
• Support multiple teams and complex assignments while maintaining quality standards.
• Apply software engineering disciplines, change-control standards, and testing procedures throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in peer code reviews and maintain engineering and quality standards.
• Recommend improvements to testing processes, coverage, efficiency, and product quality.
• Identify test automation opportunities and support Test Driven Development where appropriate.
• Work independently and adapt to evolving technologies, methodologies, and testing approaches.
• Investigate issues, reconcile results, and identify root causes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working in Scrum and Agile environments.
• Extensive full-lifecycle software testing experience, including test case development, execution, defect management, and validation.
• Strong functional, integration, and regression testing experience.
• Advanced analytical, quantitative, deductive reasoning, reconciliation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Experience with Automated Change Management and established change-control processes.
• Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Ability to convert functional and technical requirements into comprehensive testing scenarios.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across Scrum and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and own complex testing assignments.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies.
• At least 3 years of test automation experience supporting Test Driven Development is preferred.
