Requirements
- Minimum 15 years experience in pump/rotating equipment service, repair, and balancing
- Mechanical Engineering NVQ with stress analysis and bearing design specialization or equivalent
- Knowledge of API & BS ISO specifications
- Experience with mobile lathes, 3D scanners, Faro Arm, Laser Tracker
- Outage management experience in power, water, or desalination sector

Job Purpose
- This is a key position critical to achieving business objectives with significant account and technical responsibilities.
- The principal purpose is to plan, organize, promote, and achieve budgeted growth of aftermarket service business in rotors balancing for rotating equipment.
- This role is a combination of individual contributor and manager of staff.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in development of divisional strategy in line with NMES OIS growth.
- Regularly report to SM,PR&D on activities of Reverse Engineering & balancing services division.
- Prepare meetings, presentations, and site visits to carry out low speed balancing.
- Independently perform low speed balancing activities and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Perform low speed and high speed dynamic balancing, static balancing, vibration analysis, and trim balancing.
- Lead setup, assembly, and commissioning of mobile rotor lathes on site.
- Perform laser alignment activities and prepare technical reports.
- Manage and monitor performance of direct staff and subcontractors.
- Manage effectiveness of workshop and field service staff.
- Assist in development of balancing operational projects budget.
- Lead effective planning of operational strategy into outage plans.
- Liaise with customers and develop solid working relationships.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills
- Mechanical Eng NVQ with Stress analysis and bearing Design, Pump design specializations or equivalent.
- Minimum 15 years experience in pump / rotating equipment service, repair, low speed and high speed balancing.
- Knowledge of Lathes, Milling, Boring, Dynamic balancing, API & BS ISO specifications.
- Outage Management experience in power, water or desalination sector.
- Techno commercial know how with extensive knowledge of contracts and agreements.
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing process of cast and machined parts.
- Extensive leadership skills and excellent planning ability.
- Expert level knowledge of mobile lathes, 3D Scanners, Faro Arm, Laser Tracker operations, CAD, Drawing software.
- Project Management skills.
- Mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
