Senior individual-contributor role supporting mission-critical hardware programs.

Company Mission
Cowboy Space Corporation is building infrastructure for resilient space-based solar energy and orbital power, computing, and communications.
Its satellite platform is designed to support energy distribution, data processing, optical transport, ISAM operations, remote regions, and military bases.
Responsibilities
- Execute purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers, mitigate risks, and manage vendors for critical programs.
- Build sourcing tools and dashboards tracking supplier performance, spend, and delivery accuracy.
- Drive cost efficiency through supplier collaboration and manufacturing or process improvements.
- Manage pre-award reviews and ensure high-quality, compliant purchasing packages.
- Automate procurement workflows and reduce manual processes.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations on hardware development and production.
Basic Qualifications
- U.S. Person eligibility under ITAR and EAR regulations, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations in a technical or engineering environment.
- Proficiency with SQL, Python, BI tools, or similar data tools for supply chain analysis and visualization.
- Experience with ERP, MRP, MES, or similar enterprise systems.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendors, contracts, or statements of work.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with ownership and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex requirements for suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting complex hardware or engineering programs.
- Background in high-growth or deeply technical organizations.
- Experience managing high-value spend portfolios or vendor-owned inventory agreements.
- Familiarity with procurement automation or process optimization.
- Prior experience in aerospace, space, or other frontier technology industries.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range is $130,000–$200,000, with the offer dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
- Benefits include equity, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and possible relocation assistance.
- The office provides daily lunch and a stocked kitchen.
ITAR Requirement
- The role is based in San Carlos, California and requires compliance with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
- Applicants must meet the stated U.S. Person or export-authorization requirements.
