Responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders, negotiate with suppliers, mitigate risks, and manage vendors for critical programs.
• Build sourcing tools and dashboards tracking supplier performance, spend, and delivery accuracy.
• Drive cost efficiency through supplier collaboration and manufacturing or process improvements.
• Manage pre-award reviews and ensure high-quality, compliant purchasing packages.
• Automate procurement workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations on hardware development and production.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. Person eligibility under ITAR and EAR regulations, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.
• Experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations in a technical or engineering environment.
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, BI tools, or similar data tools for supply chain analysis and visualization.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, MES, or similar enterprise systems.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendors, contracts, or statements of work.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with ownership and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex requirements for suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting complex hardware or engineering programs.
• Background in high-growth or deeply technical organizations.
• Experience managing high-value spend portfolios or vendor-owned inventory agreements.
• Familiarity with procurement automation or process optimization.
• Prior experience in aerospace, space, or other frontier technology industries.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range is $130,000–$200,000, with the offer dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
• Benefits include equity, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and possible relocation assistance.
• The office provides daily lunch and a stocked kitchen.

ITAR Requirement

• The role is based in San Carlos, California and requires compliance with U.S. Government space technology export regulations.
