Position Overview
Join the Riskhandler Engineering team in Bengaluru, India, with relocation welcomed.
Riskhandler is a business-critical commercial lines insurance rating and quoting system serving insurance brokers across the UK and Ireland.
The team owns the product end to end, including the backend rating engine, REST API layer, and data.
The platform is being modernized from .NET Framework 4.8 toward an API-first, cloud-ready architecture using .NET Core and React.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Riskhandler platform features using C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET Web API.
- Enhance the REST API layer, adopt CQRS, and contribute to migration planning toward .NET Core and React.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and UK-based stakeholders.
- Diagnose defects across backend services, data, and front-end components.
- Evolve the Playwright and TypeScript test automation framework.
- Improve engineering practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Mentor junior developers, lead technical discussions, and participate in architecture decisions.
