SR. SAFETY OFFICER

Primary Purpose of the Job

Required Experience and Skills

• Postgraduate diploma in safety, NEBOSH, or an equivalent qualification.
• More than 8 years of professional experience in the HSE field.
• Good knowledge of current safety systems for workplace safety management.
• Leadership, command and control skills.
• Problem-solving and motivational skills.
• Presentation and investigation skills.
• Data interpretation and compilation skills.
• Ability to write specifications and prepare mandate reports.
• Ability to work effectively with varied personnel and in teams, with flexibility in work assignments.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Sc. or equivalent degree in an engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and lead safety activities for the Doha HSE division.
• Develop systems to ensure personnel and contractors adhere to corporate safety rules, regulations, and safe work practices.
• Troubleshoot safety problems and queries as they arise.
• Provide advice and assistance aimed at reducing accidents and losses.
• Coordinate with government agencies and internal departments to ensure national safety regulations are followed.
