As a Sr.
Project Manager - IT, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering a variety of projects within our organization, including infrastructure, cloud, and application projects.
The ideal candidate should possess exceptional project management skills, have extensive experience in the IT industry, and be well-versed in managing complex IT projects from initiation to successful completion.
Project Planning And Execution
- Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of IT projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to execute project tasks.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Responsible for implementing an appropriate project management process with project organization, documentation & structure. Manage the full lifecycle of IT delivery programs from initiation, through delivery, transition into production and support.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Address stakeholder concerns and issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Cross functional support, the presales and technical team and the time of tender and final contract negotiation stage.
Scope And Requirements Management
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in consultation with stakeholders.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Document and communicate project requirements, ensuring clarity and consensus among stakeholders.
Risk And Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and prioritize project risks and issues, developing mitigation and contingency plans as needed.
- Monitor and track project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, taking proactive measures to minimize their impact.
- Escalate critical issues and risks to senior management as appropriate.
Quality Assurance And Control
- Establish quality standards and metrics for project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with project standards and specifications.
- Implement corrective actions and improvements to address quality issues and enhance project outcomes.
Resource And Budget Management
- Allocate and manage project resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to meet project objectives.
- Monitor project expenditures and track budget utilization, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Forecast resource needs and budget requirements for future project phases and initiatives.
- Understand the scope, clearly determine the available resources, set time estimates and evaluate in partrnership with project team members.
Budget And Actual Cost Mapping
- Develop project budgets based on cost estimates, resource requirements, and project scope, ensuring alignment with organizational financial constraints and objectives.
- Track project expenditures and actual costs against budgeted amounts, monitoring budget utilization and identifying any deviations.
- Map actual costs to specific project activities and deliverables, providing transparency and accountability in financial management.
- Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure that quality inputs are delivered at the least possible cost. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting IT project requirements, supporting IT Management in preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action.
Quality Assurance And Control
- Establish quality standards and metrics for project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with project standards and specifications.
- Implement corrective actions and improvements to address quality issues and enhance project outcomes.
Project Reporting
- Project reporting on daily / weekly / monthly to relevant stakeholders. Create, update, and track the various project logs appropriately and in a timely manner per communications management plan and communication matrix specific to each program/project
Education And Qualification
- Any Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT Project Management. Preferred MBA in IT ,PMP
Work Experience
- A minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a diverse project environment.
