Project Planning and Site Coordination
- Study project drawings, specifications, and approved trade submittals to plan work before commencement.
- Ensure the site team understands specifications, drawings, construction procedures, method statements, safe work practices, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate daily site activities and monitor the maintenance and operation of plant and equipment.
- Coordinate Site Engineers, Foremen, and other site staff to optimize productivity and deliver work within time, budget, and quality requirements.
- Control subcontractor site activities, quality of work, and coordination requirements for uninterrupted progress.
Materials and Workforce Control
- Prepare material quantity take-offs, material schedules, and site material requisitions.
- Check received materials against requirements and oversee store records and minimum stock levels.
- Review manpower reports and submit them to the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
- Monitor DDC activity productivity against the project productivity schedule in coordination with the Construction Manager or Project Manager.
Quality, Reporting, and QHSE
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with the company integrated management system.
- Verify completed work before consultant inspection and ensure consultant comments are implemented.
- Attend weekly progress meetings and prepare monthly labour reports and daily site progress reports.
- Check setting out, workmanship, materials, labour distribution, and quality across all trades.
- Check non-conformance reports and safety violations and ensure findings are closed.
- Collect performance data on staff, workers, materials, and machinery and compare results with planned output.
