Role overview
AWS Infrastructure Services delivers and operates global data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling.
The Senior Project Manager leads construction projects for data centers and electrical substation and transmission projects in Hyderabad.
Key responsibilities
- Manage delivery across multiple sites with accountability for safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
- Manage construction capacity delivery in Hyderabad.
- Guide Finance during capital budget development and execution.
- Partner with the AWS Energy team to deliver electrical supply capacity for data centers.
- Coordinate teams supporting data center development and launch.
- Develop and manage regional performance metrics.
- Lead the construction lifecycle from pre-construction and procurement through onsite work.
- Resolve project issues and manage RFIs and change orders with stakeholders and contractors.
- Spend most of the week onsite with vendors to drive project outcomes.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent, or 6+ years of project management and implementation experience.
- Experience with large-scale mechanical and power systems.
