The Production Control & Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of production scheduling, material flow, and logistics for a low-volume commercial vehicle manufacturing operation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive manufacturing and lean manufacturing principles.
Production Planning And Scheduling
- Develop and maintain master production schedules to align with demand forecasts, supplier deliveries, and assembly capacity.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely availability of SKD/CKD kits and components.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and adjust production plans as needed to maintain to efficiency.
Inventory And Material Flow Management
- Optimize inventory levels to ensure just-in-time (JIT) delivery while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.
- Implement lean material flow strategies and pull systems, to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and tracking of incoming and outgoing materials.
