Primary Purpose of the Job
Undertake reservoir engineering studies for the QatarEnergy-operated offshore Idd El-Shargi field.
Optimize field development plans and analyze reservoir and well performance data.
Prepare reservoir surveillance programs and conduct reservoir management activities.
Prepare integrated development plans for underdeveloped hydrocarbon resources and participate in interdisciplinary reservoir study teams.
Principal Accountabilities
- Perform advanced horizontal-well pressure transient analysis, including deconvolution, multilayer reservoirs, and double-porosity systems.
- Construct and update dynamic black-oil and compositional reservoir models for field development planning.
- Complete annual reserves reviews and generate long-term production and injection forecasts.
- Integrate reservoir engineering inputs into drilling, workover, voidage-management, field-development, and asset-optimization activities.
- Identify reservoir layers and well-reservoir contacts for new and replacement drilling projects.
- Contribute to well proposals and prepare post-drill reservoir engineering reports.
- Participate in integrated development plans for undeveloped hydrocarbon resources and annual field reviews.
- Recommend data acquisition, maintain reservoir engineering databases, and monitor contractor compliance.
