Sr. OSP Field Engineer

What You Will Do

• Perform field surveys for aerial and underground telecommunications construction projects
• Conduct site walks and gather detailed field data for fiber optic and wireline network builds
• Assess existing utility infrastructure, pole lines, conduits, right-of-way conditions, and route feasibility
• Capture accurate measurements, photos, sketches, GPS data, and field notes
• Coordinate with utility companies, municipalities, property owners, and internal construction teams
• Identify potential construction challenges, permitting concerns, and safety issues in the field
• Support engineering and design teams by providing detailed field documentation and constructability feedback
• Verify as-built conditions and ensure field information aligns with project requirements
• Travel regularly throughout New England and periodically nationwide to support project demands
• Maintain company standards for safety, quality, and professionalism while representing the organization in the field

What you will need

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to safely enter active construction environments and utility easements

• Expected compensation includes is $60,000 to $80,000 a year and benefits including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and 401k retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as an individual’s education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other factors that are job-related and consistent with business need.
