Sr. NPD Project Engineer - Mechanical

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

5+ years progressive experience in Engineering design and/or development to include Experience working on highly technical and innovative projects with demonstrated ability to be constantly challenged with new problems 3D parametric modeling Running finite element modeling and check design feasibility within mechanical, thermal and multi-physics environment. Strong technical knowledge required in mechanism design, linkages, springs, statics, dynamics and material properties

Experience working on highly technical and innovative projects with demonstrated ability to be constantly challenged with new problems

3D parametric modeling

Running finite element modeling and check design feasibility within mechanical, thermal and multi-physics environment.

Strong technical knowledge required in mechanism design, linkages, springs, statics, dynamics and material properties

Familiarity with various manufacturing methods to include casting, machining, molding, stamping and forming

Familiarity with new product development Stage Gate Process.

The ability to write technical documents, like test reports, engineering standards and technical papers.

The ability to read and interpret technical standards.

The ability to effectively communicate (verbal, written, presentations) across all levels of the organization.

Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with DFMEA and DOE required.

Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis.

The ability to use small hand and power tools.

ProE/Creo and Finite Element analysis

A history of creativity, innovation, and initiative. A self-starter driven to learn new methodologies.

Experience in medium/high voltage electrical power systems a plus

Experience with trip free, stored energy or actuated mechanism design a plus.
