  • Lead product change management and recommend design changes that improve manufacturability, quality, serviceability, and robustness.

Analysis and Collaboration

  • Evaluate process capability indices, control charts, distributions, and process-to-product correlations.
  • Lead technical discussions with product, manufacturing, quality, supplier quality, production, maintenance, controls, and equipment engineering teams.
  • Provide plant feedback to product design teams and mentor technicians, production associates, and less-experienced engineers.
  • Incorporate lessons learned into improvement plans, product designs, process standards, and equipment specifications.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor's degree with 4 or more years of automotive experience, or a master's degree with 2 or more years of automotive experience, in mechanical or automotive engineering.
  • Experience with stator and rotor product development, improvement, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with product problem solving, data analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, DVP&R, DFM/DFA, and RCA.
  • Proficiency with Minitab or JMP, Python or MATLAB, Catia or 3DX, stack-up analysis, SQL, and Atlassian products.
  • Six Sigma Green certification, Engineering-in-Training status, engineering fundamentals certification, and collegiate FSAE experience are listed.
