Role overview
Design and deliver mechanical engineering services for enterprise data centers across the APAC region.
Represent the Data Center Engineering team in project delivery and collaborate with design, construction, operations, and commissioning stakeholders.
Evaluate cooling solutions and drive improvements in performance, water consumption, capital cost, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Participate in site selection reviews and define utility requirements.
- Create multidisciplinary construction document sets within quality and budget requirements.
- Specify air handling units, computer room air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, controls, and fire systems.
- Review and approve equipment submittals.
- Define project scope and provide technical support during construction.
- Test and validate mechanical system installation, operation, and performance with commissioning teams.
- Travel to sites and work with field engineers and operations teams. The role involves approximately 20% travel within APAC and occasional global travel.

The AWS Data Center Design Engineering team includes architects and structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, fire protection, and controls engineers.
