Tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead the team as an architect across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Handle requirements engineering, design, development, testing, integration, documentation, and customer coordination or support.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and the product owner to develop application software functional components.
  • Develop and guide the team toward robust software architecture.
  • Implement MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow functional components with error handling, signal evaluation, and reusability.
  • Integrate sensors, communication interfaces, plug-ins, and functional components into complete application software projects.
  • Configure ECU pins for sensors and actuators.
  • Create and test modules and S-functions for functional components.
  • Validate CAN communication, sensor processing, and actuator control using breakout boards and CANalyzer.
  • Configure diagnostic faults, groups, and reactions and support customer issue resolution.

Required skills

  • Strong MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow skills for model-based functional development.
  • Advanced MATLAB concepts and software architecture development experience.
  • Hardware experience involving sensors and actuators.
  • Software testing, validation, integration, GIT, CI pipelines, and Jenkins configuration experience.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle and Agile-based projects.

Additional skills

  • Experience with software architecture principles is considered good to have.
  • Requirement engineering, debugging, issue resolution, and software documentation skills are considered good to have.
  • Knowledge of the BODAS ecosystem, including BODAS Studio, is not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the PEP process is not mandatory.
  • Hands-on GenAI-based development experience is a plus.

Education and experience

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Eight to ten years of experience.
