Position Overview
Vertiv is seeking a data center mechanical subject matter expert to guide the design, deployment, and optimization of HVAC, cooling, and other mechanical infrastructure.
The role supports reliable, efficient, and scalable mission-critical infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC, cooling, and ventilation system design for data center facilities.
- Develop mechanical schematics, equipment layouts, and airflow diagrams using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Integrate Liebert and other Vertiv cooling products into scalable designs.
- Coordinate with electrical, structural, and network engineering teams.
- Conduct thermal load calculations, airflow analysis, and capacity assessments.
- Improve cooling efficiency and reduce energy consumption through data-driven strategies.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, relevant standards, and Vertiv guidelines.
- Perform audits, inspections, and commissioning tests.
- Develop risk mitigation, contingency, and emergency response plans.
- Maintain design documentation, as-built drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical reports.
- Train engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
