Job Overview

LPL Financial is seeking a senior developer or tech lead developer for web applications supporting the Risk & Compliance domain.

The role focuses on self-service features that improve experiences for financial advisors.

The position involves web application development using C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end platform designs, deliver solutions, and maintain code quality.
  • Build web user interfaces and tune web-based UI performance.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems.
  • Integrate web and C#/.NET applications across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with product, architecture, platform support, QA, DevOps, and integration teams.
  • Work on Agile projects with CI/CD and follow SDLC processes.
  • Assess platform, application, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Design for application resiliency, scalability, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and integration partners.

Requirements

  • 8+ years designing and implementing complex systems using web, .NET, and web services.
  • 5+ years of full-stack web or service-oriented application development.
  • 3+ years of Angular experience, ideally Angular 15 or later.
  • Required experience with .NET, C#, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JSON.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server procedures, views, indexes, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub and Liquibase DevOps tools.

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of SOA principles, design patterns, code architecture, and design principles.
  • Experience with REST services, SQL Server, Node, Visual Studio, Visio, Postman, and SoapUI.
  • Oracle SQL knowledge and AWS implementation experience are relevant to the role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical problem-solving, and incident-troubleshooting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Preferences

  • Unit testing experience with VS Tests, NUnit, JUnit, MUnit, or Jasmine/Karma is a plus.
  • Snowflake, TeamCity, Octopus, and Jira experience is preferred.
  • Self-service portal and customer-service application development experience is preferred.
  • Cloud-based application design and implementation exposure is preferred.
