Scope:
As a Data Science Consultant, you will be a key player in onboarding clients onto Blue Yonder’s Luminate Planning suite of solutions and providing ongoing support through our Data Science as a Service (DSaaS) offering.
Our team currently consists of approximately 50 associates in India, part of a larger global team spanning the US and Germany, and is poised for rapid growth.
Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential, as you will mentor junior team members.
What you’ll do:
Select, build, and optimize classifiers using advanced machine learning techniques.
Conduct data mining using cutting-edge methods and tools.
Integrate third-party data sources to enhance the company’s datasets when necessary.
Refine data collection procedures to ensure relevant data is available for analytic systems.
Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly to stakeholders.
Address customer concerns regarding forecasting issues and data quality, and build utilities to perform forecasting checks.
What we are looking for:
Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., Linear Regression, K-Means Clustering, Naive Bayes).
Proficiency in data science toolkits such as Python, NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn (expertise in at least two is required).
Experience in supply chain concepts and statistical analysis.
Knowledge of operations research concepts, including integer, linear, and stochastic programming.
Strong critical and operational thinking skills.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Streamlit and Power BI.
Proficiency in query languages such as SQL and Snowflake, or Python-based SQL wrappers.
Solid grounding in applied statistics, including distributions, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
Bonus skills: familiarity with Dask/parallel processing, Airflow orchestration tools, Postman/API integration.
Strong scripting and programming capabilities.
Data-driven mindset with an eye for detail.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science with a focus on Data Science.
Experience:
5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
