Sr Data Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering , preferably within healthcare or regulated data environments
• Strong proficiency in SQL and T-SQL , with hands-on experience building complex stored procedures and data transformations
• Experience with SQL Server performance tuning , query optimization, and indexing strategies
• Strong Python (or similar programming language) skills
• Hands-on experience with Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, Blob Storage/Data Lake)
• Experience designing and managing ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines
• Solid understanding of healthcare data structures (claims, encounters, provider, member, etc.)
• Experience with data warehousing and modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
• Familiarity with DevOps practices , CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare analytics domains such as Risk Adjustment, Quality Measures, or Value-Based Care
• Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience with big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks)
• Exposure to Power BI or other BI/visualization tools
• Experience supporting client-facing implementations or onboarding projects

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
