Mattel seeks a Senior Data Engineer or Senior ETL Developer for its Technology and Innovation Center in Hyderabad, India.
The role reports to the IT Director for Enterprise Data and Analytics.
The position leads scalable cloud data pipeline development and supports Mattel’s enterprise data strategy.
Impact and responsibilities
- Lead secure, scalable, high-performing pipelines for structured and semi-structured data using Google BigQuery.
- Ingest data from ERP, CRM, ecommerce, and order management systems into a centralized cloud warehouse.
- Transform raw data into trusted, curated datasets for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics.
- Build modular and reusable DBT data models that evolve with business needs.
- Apply BigQuery partitioning, clustering, and query optimization practices.
- Automate and monitor workflows with Airflow or Cloud Composer.
- Develop Python and SQL for ingestion, transformation, validation, and performance tuning.
- Establish data quality checks and testing strategies.
- Partner with architects and technical leads on scalable frameworks and reference implementations.
- Collaborate with analysts, BI developers, and product owners on data solutions.
- Use modern ETL platforms such as Ascend.io, Databricks, Dataflow, or Fivetran when appropriate.
- Contribute to documentation, CI/CD, monitoring, code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring.
