Responsibilities
- Provide civil and structural engineering design and technical services for assigned offshore engineering projects.
- Deliver work in accordance with quality, schedule, cost, and HSE requirements.
- Conduct engineering activities and in-house site surveys from concept definition through studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
- Ensure technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental policies, and safety policies are followed.
- Review technical deviations and variations against approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
- Support the review, update, and application of engineering standards.
- Plan and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams for timely technical delivery.
- Coordinate engineering designs and review multidisciplinary project work scopes.
- Review and approve contractor method statements and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and monitor engineering schedules and contribute to FEED and EPIC scheduling.
- Evaluate technical bid packages and contract changes for scope compliance.
- Support technical competency development and training for Associate Qatari Engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer, Professional Engineer, or equivalent status is preferable.
- At least 10 years of relevant postgraduate experience, including 6 years related to the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to identify and apply relevant engineering standards and codes for offshore civil and structural engineering.
- Ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects across a multiple-project environment.
- Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
