Role Overview

Engineering and Design Responsibilities

• Carry out conceptual studies, FEED, and preliminary calculations for civil and structural modifications and repairs.
• Work on buildings, supports, underground drainage, paving, roads, foundations for static and dynamic loading, and structural steelwork.
• Prepare and review scopes of work, technical study reports, design calculations, civil layouts, detailed drawings, connection details, material take-offs, specifications, and architectural finishing details.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare or review engineering study reports and modification proposals.
• Raise deviation requests when applicable.
• Manage detailed design activities and develop engineering and material or construction specifications.

Contractor and Technical Coordination

• Supervise FEED, engineering, construction, and EPC contractors on civil and structural activities.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, HSE and sustainability standards, international codes, and corporate policies.
• Interface with engineering consultants and contractor engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
• Review vendor and subcontractor drawings and documentation and ensure comments are incorporated.
• Review specifications, material requisitions, vendor selections, and technical bids.
• Approve documents or recommend approvals to management in accordance with the document distribution matrix.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience in civil, structural, or engineering work is required.
• Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry or with engineering consultants or EPC contractors is required.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in applicable international codes, including ASTM and API codes.
• Experience with structural analysis and dynamic foundation analysis.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools and software.
