Role Overview
Perform business analysis activities on medium-to-large digital projects within a mortgage transformation program.
Apply advanced business analysis knowledge to requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, management, and support.
Guide other professionals and support the development of junior business analyst capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage Agile ceremonies with the Product Owner and decompose epics into user stories.
- Refine user stories and document acceptance criteria, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, business rules, and data elements.
- Analyze stakeholders, risks, assumptions, constraints, and requirements responsibilities.
- Lead collaborative refinement sessions and walkthroughs with Technology, Product, and Design teams.
- Maintain reusable requirements documentation in Confluence.
- Collaborate on application UI pages with Product, Development, subject matter experts, and UI/UX teams.
- Document test scenarios and support developers through requirements, build, and testing activities.
- Apply coverage analysis from product vision through implementation and provide guidance to junior business analysts.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst.
- At least 2 years of experience on an Agile project.
- Independent business and systems requirements gathering experience.
- Experience with online or mobile banking.
- Strong requirements methodology knowledge across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Experience with user stories, specifications, business context diagrams, and business process maps.
- Experience on projects valued over $2 million.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder groups of 20 or more people.
- University bachelor’s degree.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and gap analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- RBC experience, accessibility requirements, BDD feature files, a Master’s Certificate in Business Analysis, CBAP or PMI-PBA certification, digital mortgage projects, and mortgage financing experience are nice to have.
